Daverthump’s Pub and Galley has closed for about a month to be remodeled. It’s also changing owners.

According to a post on its website, it will be closed until about Aug. 1 while they do some renovations.

Expect to see a brand new bar, with enough left of the old Davers left to still feel like home, but enough improvements to make it feel new.

The new owners might also rename the popular bar near the corner of 196th and 44th, which has been open since 1973.
