The Department of Licensing office at 180th and Highway 99 in Lynnwood will be closed Tuesday, July 13. It’s one of several days that state employees are taking off as part of a furlough plan to save money. (The actual furlough day is Monday, but the Lynnwood DOL office is already closed on Mondays so they’re taking Tuesday off.)
“While our offices are closed on these days, many of our services are available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Director Liz Luce. “You may be able to renew or replace your driver license or ID card, obtain a copy of your driving record and renew your vehicle tabs.”
The DOL says drivers should be prepared for higher-than-normal wait times if they visit an office immediately following a closure.
If you’ve been the Lynnwood DOL lately, you know how busy it can be. Wait times have climbed ever since the DOL closed several offices to save money — including ones in Bothell, Bellevue and Seattle’s Greenwood area.
