Last night the Lynnwood City Council appointed Ed dos Remedios to fill the seat left vacant when Stephanie Wright was appointed to the Snohomish County Council. The vote was five to one.
Dos Remedios served on the City Council in 2006 and 2007 and he has lived in Lynnwood for 25 years. He is retired but spent his career in accounting, finance and administration, as well as serving in the Army.
He says the top three priorities facing Lynnwood are resolving the current financial crisis and maintaining a balanced budget with a minimum level of additional taxes, preserving the city’s infrastructure by planned and organized growth, and providing the citizens of Lynnwood the highest level of service possible.
Dos Remedios was a charter member of the Lynnwood Diversity Task Force and he presently serves on the Civil Service Commission.
This is the smartest decision the Council has made in a very long time! Congratulations Ed!
