Police are looking for the person who stabbed a student at Edmonds Community College this morning.
The 22-year-old male student was robbed and stabbed inside a men’s restroom at Alderwood Hall about 9:30 a.m. The suspect ran from the campus and a police dog was unable to locate him. Because he fled the scene, the school did not go into lock down.
“The college will work closely with the Lynnwood Police Department to ensure student safety and will keep the campus community updated on this crime as new information is received,” the college said in a statement.
The victim was taken to Swedish Edmonds with non-life threatening injuries to his face.
The suspect is described as a thin black male with a shaved head or short hair, wearing a black jacket and jeans, black backpack and possibly a blue and white checkered shirt. Police say he was not known to the student.
