This year the Foundation will distribute 50 percent of its net proceeds from the event to participating schools (schools with 20 or more registered runners). In addition, the top three schools with the most paid registered participants will either win a bowling and pizza party, sub sandwiches party or ice cream party for registered students.
The Children’s Fun Run and activities are free for children up to age eight, with entertainment provided by Radio Disney, The Lego Store and American Girl. There will also be a battle of the high school bands with a $500 prize for the winning band.
Entry fees are $25 for adults 19 and older, $15 for ages 12-18 and $5 for 11 and younger.
Packet pick up, including T-shirt, will be on Oct. 4 at Campbell Nelson from 3:30-7:30 p.m. and race day from 7-8 a.m. outside Loews Theater at the Alderwood Mall.
The children’s fun run is at 7:30 a.m., followed by the race at 8 a.m. and the battle of the banks at 9 a.m.
