The Edmonds School District Tuesday released the calendar for the upcoming 2016-17 school year. Notable dates are as follows:

• First Day of School: Sept. 7, 2016
• Veterans’ Day: Nov. 11, 2016
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25, 2016
• Winter Break: Dec. 19 – Jan. 2, 2017
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 16, 2017
• Presidents’ Day: Feb. 20, 2017
• Spring Break: April 3-7, 2017
• Memorial Day: May 29, 2017
• Last Day of School: June 22, 2017**

The district recommends any families and school district staff planning ahead for summer vacations in 2017 avoid scheduling vacations that conflict with these snow makeup days.
