Edmonds School District’s eLearning Academy needs volunteer math tutors

edmondssdlogoThe Edmonds School District’s eLearning Academy is seeking retired math teachers to help assist students in various levels of math.

The Edmonds eLearning program is a comprehensive high school with approximately 100 full time students and over 600 students served each school year.

The student population is diverse and take courses for a variety of reasons.  Edmonds School District students can take one course or as many as six.  These courses are free when part of their six period school day. The academy customizes each students’ schedule and provide an on-site lab staffed by teachers to help students meet their learning goals.

The program currently is accepting applications for the 2015-16 school year. The academy currently for high school students but is accepting middle school students on a case by case basis. Parents of middle school students should contact a school counselor.
