Sid Roberts, 60, has announced his intent to run for a second term on the Lynnwood City Council.

“I was elected to serve on the Lynnwood City Council in 2011 by narrowly defeating a long time incumbent. When I was elected, there was relational dissidence and petty infighting on the council. There were many systemic problems, including financial issues, that had been crippling and paralyzing our city for many years. I believe I have worked to improve the atmosphere on the council through collaboration and cooperation while staying true to common sense principles.”

• A ban on fireworks in the City of Lynnwood

• Family friendly park system including a ban on smoking in the city parks

• Sensible land use decisions including Lynnwood Place

• Financial stewardship and common sense relating to city spending

• Improvements to city roads including 36th Ave. W. and other arterials

• Public safety, including a strong police presence and a first class fire department.
