Emerald City Smoothie is setting up shop at Alderwood Mall. It be located in the outdoor Village area near REI and Panera Bread.

The store serves handmade, healthy smoothies made from fresh fruit and protein. They also sell a variety of nutritional products.

The Alderwood location is expected to open at 7 a.m., before mall hours, for customers who want a quick breakfast on-the-go.

“We are excited to be part of the Lynnwood community and look forward to working with schools through our Free Smoothie Student Rewards Program,” franchise owner Liz Sylvester told us. “We partner with schools to encourage reading or exercising and reward students with a free smoothie for reaching their goal.”

Emerald City Smoothie is expected to open in late October or early November.
