South county emergency shelters are being opened tonight

The snow and cold temperatures have prompted the activation of the South Snohomish County Emergency Shelter Network. Shelters will be open tonight through Friday.

Men, women and families can all use the shelters, and meals will be provided. Anyone who needs shelter should meet at Lynnwood City Hall no later than 7 p.m. for pick-up. They’ll be driven to local churches that are part of the shelter network.
