Lynnwood seeks emergency volunteers for potential disaster shelters

Are You Willing To Help In An Emergency?

The city of Lynnwood is partnering with its neighboring cities as well as the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency (ESCA) to provide an important service during times of emergency. Should an emergency arise in our community, it may be necessary to open a shelter.

The city is in search of a group of volunteers, who will be trained to spring into action in these times of emergency. If you willing to be one of those volunteers, you are invited to attend a Shelter Fundamentals Training hosted by the city of Shoreline and conducted by the American Red Cross. You will be trained in the fundamentals of setting up and running a shelter.

The training session will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Shoreline Fire Department Headquarters, 17525 Aurora Ave N. in Shoreline.

To RSVP, email or call 206-801-2254.
