Gallery North announces the opening of “Poetic Strokes,” an exhibit of watercolor and pastel paintings by artists Eve Ingraham and Lauriel Sandstrom. This show also includes Eve Ingraham’s unique designer jewelry.
Ingraham and Sandstrom have conveyed the mood and color of their experiences onto paper in “Poetic Strokes.” “When a scene inspires an artist to tell a story in paint, each stroke is like a line in a poem.” Eve Ingraham explains, “Whether it is the landscapes of Alaska, Ireland, or Scotland, or a galloping horseback ride, each artist builds the poetry of that story – stroke by stroke.” The November exhibit includes both studio and plein air work by the artists. Lauriel Sandstrom also has included an innovative painting medium this year in some of her pieces – coffee!
Eve Ingraham’s individually designed jewelry pieces, known as “Evecreate Original Designs” are also part of this exhibit. Each jewelry item is a unique work of art designed to create a statement for its wearer. Many of the pieces feature exquisite and distinctive stones.
The opening reception for “Poetic Strokes” is on November 5th, from 1 to 4 at Gallery North. Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments. There will be drawings for artwork throughout the reception. The artists also will be present at Gallery North during the Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk on November 17th from 5-8 pm. This exhibit will be open seven days a week through November 30.
