Sukumar has also lived in Austin, Texas, The Bay Area in California, Phoenix, Arizona and Chicago, Illinois.
Sukumar has been to various countries on work as well as on holiday . It was a weekend in the Pantanal in Brazil after work in Sao Paulo that got him hooked on birding and bird photography.
Between October 2010 and December 2013, Sukumar was sent on work to Bangalore, India and he managed to spend quite a few weekends birding in various parks across India. The photos today were shot mostly in South India but some of them are from the West, North and North East India.
Sukumar’s father was an amateur photographer who took, developed and printed award winning Black and White photos in India in the 1950s and 1960s.
