Bridges to Resilience Luncheon

Join ChildStrive and community philanthropists and business leaders as they celebrate the history of innovation in the early childhood education sector. ChildStrive’s annual luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 2nd at the Lynnwood Convention Center from 12:00-1:00 p.m. An optional networking hour will be from 10:30 until program start. From 1:30-3:00 p.m. there will be additional workshops covering topics such as Restorative Practice, a deeper dive with the keynote speaker and more.

The keynote speaker is Barbara Kellerman. Barbara Kellerman is the James MacGregor Burns Lecturer in Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. She is the Founding Executive Director of the School’s Center for Public Leadership and from 2003 to 2006 she served as the Center’s Research Director. Kellerman has held professorships at several universities and is the author of Professionalizing Leadership.

This year’s Making the Difference Award will go to Leadership Snohomish County Executive Director Kathy Coffey. Kathy Coffey has made a lasting impact on the community through her work at LSC, her membership and participation in the South Everett – Mukilteo Rotary club and more. Kathy is a champion of leaders and leader development, building community connections and resiliency. Previous award recipients include Ross Hunter, Secretary of the Department of Children, Youth and Family Services and Maddy Metzger-Utt of the Community Foundation of Snohomish County.
