Gallery North has long been a part of the Edmonds art scene. The gallery has been operating continuously for 55 years and is among the longest running artist-cooperative galleries in the nation. Over the years, the gallery has changed locations, new gallery artists have joined and some have retired. Photographer and current Gallery North member Sam Spencer decided to bring together a group of former Gallery North member artists who have been long-time friends and who have stayed in touch over the years.
This October, the artists will display their work in an exhibit they have playfully titled “The Olde Masters”. The show features Mary Anderson (watercolor), Bonnie AuBuchon (monoprint, linotype, and jewelry), Kim Caldwell (watercolor), Gayle Franklin (fused glass), Delores Haugland (oil and acrylic), Paula Parks (colored pencil), Stan Rust (turned wood), Mara Sparks (pottery), Sam Spencer (photography), and John Vandebrooke (encaustic).
Meet the artists at their reception on Saturday, October 1st from 1:00-4:00 pm at Gallery North and at the Edmonds Art Walk on Thursday, October 20 from 5:00-8:00 pm. Refreshments will be served at the events. This show will continue through October 31st.
