Summer of Love Open House
Who: School of Rock Lynnwood staff and music instructors will be available to provide free trial lessons, answer questions about our programs and shows, and provide information about Back to School enrollment specials.
Why: School of Rock Lynnwood is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love with a series of events that start with a community Open House. Years before Woodstock happened, the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival launched a musical and cultural movement around the country. That iconic concert featured artists such as: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, The Mamas and the Pappas, Otis Redding and more. A free Tie Dye T-shirt station will be set up for attendees to make their own 50th Anniversary commemorative T-shirt (please bring your own T-shirt or you can purchase one for $5 while supplies and sizes last).
Who Should Attend: This event is open to all in the community and is family friendly.
When: Saturday, August 26th from Noon to 4 PM. The Tie Dye station will be open from 1 to 3 PM. Free trial lessons will be offered from Noon to 4 PM.
Where: School of Rock Lynnwood, 4200 196th St. SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036. Free parking is in the back of the building.
