Items are not limited to the Marysville area – depression affects people everywhere, and iPASS hopes to bring attention to this issue far beyond their own geographic area.
Affecting around 25 million Americans a year, depression is a serious condition. Far more than just feeling Blue it affects both mind and body, taking a serious toll on both physical and mental health. Sadly, only half of those affected are able to receive treatment. Those who do not receive appropriate treatment can suffer for weeks, months, or years. The cost of depression can be seen at home and work.
Founded by Dr. Nicole Winters, Integrative Psychological and Social Services (iPASS) provides much needed mental health treatment on a sliding scale basis to increase access to care for those who would otherwise go without. When asked why this is so important, Dr. Winters replied “Because each of us knows someone who has been touched by depression and could benefit from counseling and iPASS is committed to providing that service”.
