The Summer Performance, Olympic Ballet Theatre’s 2019–2020 season opener, will premiere Act I of Don Quixote. This charming comedic ballet is a beloved classic, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa 150 years ago, later revived by Alexander Gorsky, and is set to an energetic score by Ludwig Minkus.
The evening will also premiere a new piece choreographed by OBT company dancer, Alberto Gaspar, and a new piece by Karen Herr performed by select students of Olympic Ballet School’s 4 week summer intensive.
