Gallery North announces its July Show “Elements of Beauty”. This show features potter Melinda O’Malley and painter Leanna Leitzke showing their colorful work. Melinda O’Malley has been making pottery for 13 years. She took classes at Shoreline Community College to learn the techniques she uses as a foundation for her work. The Summer Performance, Olympic Ballet Theatre's 2019–2020 season opener, will premiere Act I of Don Quixote. This charming comedic ballet is a beloved classic, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa 150 years ago, later revived by Alexander Gorsky, and is set to an energetic score by Ludwig Minkus. The evening will also premiere a new piece choreographed by OBT company dancer, Alberto Gaspar, and a new piece by Karen Herr performed by select students of Olympic Ballet School's 4 week summer intensive.
