The Lynnwood Police Department is recruiting people from 14 t0 18 years old for its Explorer Program.

Applications are accepted from males and females who live in or around the Lynnwood area. They must have a high degree of integrity and honesty, and be committed to community service.

The program involves weekly training sessions, volunteer time, Police Explorer Academies and rides with on-duty police officers. It’s focused on those who wish to make law enforcement a career.

The program is run by police personnel who are mentors and instructors during the weekly training exercises.
