Ezell’s Famous Chicken is leaving Lynnwood

Ezell’s Famous Chicken is closing its Lynnwood location at 76th & 196th and relocating to Everett.

According to the Herald, who talked to owner Ezell Stephens, the move will happen next month:

Business was a little slow in Lynnwood and he’s hoping the Everett location will get more traffic.

He plans to introduce a few new items on the menu, including 7-Up cake and sweet potato pie cake.

The new offerings should be like “a taste of heaven,” he said.

The location has seating for 40 to 50 people, a change from the current restaurant which features an indoor walk-up counter.

The new restaurant will be located at 615 112th SE in Everett.

The Herald says the move is not related to a trademark dispute between Stephens and the company’s board of directors.

  1. This is a real bummer, it’s right by my house and on the way to my girlfriends, always love stopping in for some spicy gizzards, a roll, and a peach faygo. Well, I’ll be driving to Everett I guess, no distance will get between me and those gizzards. My parents would always buy those rolls for holiday meals too, sad.

  2. This is just a taste of what’s to come. Lynnwood has made itself so hostile to business with their frenzied orgy of taxation that many businesses will be packing up and moving elsewhere. Sad and pathetic.
