The charred remains of the Lynnview Apartments are still smoldering after yesterday afternoon’s massive fire. This morning crews are still on the scene to check for hotspots. 200th Street SW between 56th and 60th continues to be blocked off.
Investigators say the apartment building was built in the 1970s and did not have a sprinkler system or firewalls.
More than 30 families who were displaced by the fire spent the night in a temporary shelter Trinity Lutheran Church.
This is so sad. Let us know what the people need and this community will respond!
