Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 382 calls for the week of Sept. 23-29, including the following calls in the Lynnwood area.

September 23

COLLISION. At 1:48 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish Edmonds Hospital after responding to a collision at 13^th Ave. W and 164^th St. SW east of Lynnwood.

September 24

COLLISION. At 10:02 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a two-car collision at 148^th St. SW and Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.

September 25

COLLISION. At 12:11 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish Edmonds Hospital after responding to a collision at 164^th St. SW and Ash Way north of Lynnwood.

CAR FIRE. At 2:42 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire at 172^nd St. SW and Alderwood Mall Parkway north of Lynnwood.

COLLISION. At 6:14: p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision on northbound I-5 south of 196^th St. SW and transported one patient to Swedish Edmonds Hospital.

September 26

APARTMENT FIRE. At 1:54 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in an apartment in the 13000 block of 8^th Ave. W south of Everett. Smoke and flames were coming from a second-floor window in the three-story building. The building was evacuated and there were no injuries. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and kept the flames from spreading beyond the second-floor unit where the fire started. Families were displaced from four other units that sustained smoke or water damage. An investigator from the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire was started by a candle. The loss is estimated at more than $300,000.

September 27

COLLISION. At 7:48 p.m., a truck crashed into a mailbox in the 19400 block of Locust Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish Edmonds Hospital.

September 28

CAR FIRE. At 1:23 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire at Cypress Way and Larch Way east of Brier.
