Fire District 1 calls: April 9-22

Fire District 1Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 806 calls April 9-22: 648 emergency medical aid calls, 63 motor vehicle collisions, 20 fires, 30 service calls, 2 gas leaks, 1 carbon monoxide alarm and 42 automatic fire alarms.

April 10

COLLISION:  At 12:28 p.m., a truck and a car collided on northbound I-5 at 220th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 2:49 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 230th Street SW and 58th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Both cars were heavily damaged. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

April 13

COLLISION:  At 6:33 p.m., a car crashed into a fence in the 5600 block of 227th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

April 14

COLLISION:  At 5:43 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 11900 block of Highway 99 south of Everett. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

April 15

COLLISION:  At 11:41 a.m., a two-car collision occurred in the 4500 block of 156th Place SW north of Lynnwood. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

April 16

CAR FIRE:  At 6:39 a.m., firefighters extinguished a fully involved car fire in the 1300 block of Admiralty Way south of Everett. No one was injured.

COLLISION:  At 12:53 p.m., five vehicles were involved in a collision at 128th Street SW and 8th Avenue W south of Everett. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room and one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

April 17

COLLISION:  At 3:25 a.m., firefighters responded to a semi-truck carrying 448 bee hives that rolled over as it was exiting I-405 to northbound I-5. The truck came to rest on its side in the HOV lane and median. The driver was uninjured. Firefighters used water and fire retardant foam to subdue the bees as a tow truck and DOT crews worked to clear the freeway. Firefighters were on the scene until about 1 p.m.

COLLISION:  At 9:21 a.m., a car went off the road and crashed into a rock in the 12400 block of 40th Avenue SE east of Everett. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

COLLISION:  At 12:54 p.m., a bicycle collision occurred at 164th Street SW and Manor Way north of Lynnwood. The injured cyclist was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

April 18

COLLISION:  At 12:32 p.m., a three-car collision was reported at Filbert Road and North Road east of Lynnwood. One person was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 4:02 p.m., a two-car collision occurred in the 2100 block of 196thStreet SW east of Lynnwood. One person was injured and transported to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
