Fire District 1 calls: Oct. 20-26

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 320 calls the week of Oct. 20-26, including these calls near Lynnwood.

October 20

COLLISION:  At 6:32 a.m., a two-car head on collision was reported at the intersection of Filbert Road and North Road east of Lynnwood.  The driver of one vehicle was trapped between his seat and steering wheel. Firefighters used rescue tools to free the driver and transported him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Firefighters transported the driver of the second car to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 12:09 p.m., a three-car collision occurred in the 21900 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

FALL:  At 1:13 p.m., a man fell eight feet onto concrete inside a building in the 6300 block of Picnic Point Road north of Edmonds. Firefighters transported the man to Harborview Medical Center.

FIRE:  At 1:52 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in a delivery truck at 86th Pl. W and Main Street in Edmonds.

October 22

COLLISION:  At 10:08 a.m., a two-car collision was reported at 164th Street SE and Third Avenue SE east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

October 25

COLLISION:  At 7:23 a.m., a child on a bicycle was struck by a car in the 12600 block of Eighth Avenue W south of Everett. Firefighters transported the injured bicyclist to Harborview Medical Center.

COLLISION:  At 6:40 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 22800 block of Cedar Way S in Mountlake Terrace.  Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

October 26

CHIMNEY FIRE:  At 7:35 p.m., firefighters extinguished a chimney fire at a home in the 24100 block of 52nd Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace.
