Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 483 calls July 7-13: 384 emergency medical aid calls, 31 motor vehicle collisions, 25 fires, 16 service calls, 6 natural gas leaks, 2 rescues and 19 automatic fire alarms.
July 7
COLLISION: At 6:01 a.m., firefighters responded to a car that struck a telephone pole at 163rd Place Southwest and 53nd Avenue West in Edmonds and transported one patient to the hospital.
COLLISION: At 6:08 p.m., a motorcycle with two riders was involved in a collision on northbound I-5 in Mountlake Terrace. One person was injured and transported by firefighters to an area hospital.
July 8
COLLISION: At 9:56 p.m., a car struck a telephone pole near 122nd Place Southwest and East Gibson Road in Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.
July 9
BRUSH FIRE: At 5:46 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the 14000 block of Puget Sound Boulevard in Edmonds. No one was injured.
July 12
COLLISION: At 12:39 a.m., a car crashed into a tree and rolled over in the 2600 block of Larch Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters used rescue tools to free the driver from the wreckage. The driver had life-threatening injuries and was transported by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION: At 12:54 p.m., a car crashed into a ditch in the 300 block of 170th Place Southwest in Bothell. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.
July 13
COLLISION: At 1:33 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 1400 block of 164th Street Southwest northeast of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.
