Fireworks banned from Edmonds School District property

The sign at Hazelwood Elementary

The Edmonds School District has sent out a warning that fireworks are not allowed on school property.

Fireworks are banned from the cities of Brier, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, and Woodway, and while the city of Lynnwood and unincorporated Snohomish County allow limited use on July 4 only, fireworks are still not allowed on district property within Lynnwood or the unincorporated county portions of the district at any time.

We ask for your support in notifying law enforcement if you see any kind of firework activity on any school district property by calling 911.

The district will have staff patrolling the schools to make sure fireworks aren’t being set off.
