Food trucks can now operate in Lynnwood

Screenshot (35).pngAn ordinance allowing food trucks to operate in Lynnwood is now effective after it was unanimously passed on March 14. But before food trucks can sell within the city limits, operators need to get a City of Lynnwood business license and be approved by the Snohomish County Health Department.

Once that is done, food trucks will be allowed to operate within the city limits between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Food truck will not be allowed to operate on city streets, but can sell from parking lots with approval from the business that owns the parking lot.

“This is something the City has carefully researched and considered,” Paul Krauss, community development director, said in a press release. “These trucks are safe, well regulated and offer such a great opportunity for independent businesses owners. People enjoy the whole food truck experience.”

The ordinance became effective on March 23. For more information on how to apply for a business license in Lynnwood, click here.
