Lynnwood police cordoned off four residential blocks Thursday as they looked for a suspect who ran off while talking to officers.

Police first stopped to talk to two men who were acting suspiciously in the 4100 block of 186th Street SW. One of them, who had three felony warrants for residential burglary, took off running down a dead-end street.

Officers, along with the K-9 unit, followed the suspect through several yards, damaging fences at seven properties on 44th Avenue West between 188th Street SW and 186th Street SW.

The 25-year-old Seattle man was captured about 15 minutes later. The other man released soon after the incident.

The suspect was arrested for obstruction and possession of burglary tools.
