The former Borders store at Alderwood Mall won’t stay empty for very long.

The store closed in February when the company went bankrupt. Forever 21 has plans to take over the two-story space, according to Community Development Director Paul Krauss. The clothing store is currently located inside the mall.

A timeline to move has not yet been announced. A Forever 21 spokesperson would only tell us, “at this time, we do not have any confirmed information regarding our store at the Alderwood Mall. We should be finalizing plans soon.”
