Colton Witsman hit a triple in Meadowdale’s 16-3 win over Mountlake Terrace Friday at Mountlake Terrace high School. 

Baseball: Meadowdale 16, Mountlake Terrace 3

The Mavericks avoided a series sweep by pounding out 17 hits at Mountlake Terrace High School. Dakota Barlament hit a pair of triples and Jacob Hunnewell had two doubles for Meadowdale (6-4 in the league, 8-5 overall). Teammate Colton Witsman also hit a triple. Elliott Reece picked up the victory, allowing only five hits.

Baseball: Lynnwood 5, Mariner 3

The Royals took advantage of six errors and Ryan Tsuji pitched a complete game as Lynnwood edged the Marauders at Lynnwood High School. The Royals (6-4 in the league, 10-4 overall) only managed two hits against Mariner’s Nick Smith.

Soccer: Lynnwood 1, Edmonds-Woodway 0

Victor Villasenor scored the winning goal in overtime to lift the Royals to the victory at Edmonds Stadium. Goalkeeper Daniel Mathiason recorded the shutout as Lynnwood improved to 4-7 in the league and 4-7 overall.

Softball: Snohomish 3, Lynnwood 0

Madison Morgan had the only two hits for Lynnwood at Snohomish High School. The Royals (4-4 in the league, 8-5 overall) have dropped their last four games.

Tennis: Mount Vernon 6, Lynnwood 1

Lynnwood’s Monica Kwong defeated Brooke Emory 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match.
