Tax Day is just over a week away, and qualified taxpayers can have their returns done for free in Lynnwood and Everett.
Individuals who make less than $48,000 can have basic tax returns prepared by trained and certified volunteers, courtesy of United Way of Snohomish County. Services are provided on a first-come, first served basis. No appointments will be taken.

Last year certified volunteers prepared 1,274 tax returns at United Way tax preparation sites for a total of over $2 million in refunds.
