Incumbent Lynnwood Mayor Don Gough finished second in the Primary Election but is ahead of rival Nicola Smith as far as campaign funds are concerned, according to the Washington Public Disclosure Commission.
Gough has raised $16,926 and spent $11,389. The two-term mayor reports an in-kind contribution of $6,889 and a personal contribution of $10,037.
Smith, the Dean of Student Life and Development at Edmonds Community College, has raised $14,071 and spent $10,835. Smith reports an in-kind contribution of $1,001, a personal contribution of $1,000 and an independent expenditure of $535.
Smith won the primary with 27.99 percent (1,259 votes), while Gough had 26.01 percent (1,170 votes).
