The Green Thumbs Book Group for the reading gardener will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30 in the large meeting room at the Lynnwood Library.
This month the gruop is reading books by the English author Beverley Nichols (1898-1983). Nichols was a prolific author who wrote in many genres but is best remembered for his gardening books. Choose one title from this list and come prepared for a lively discussion: Down the Garden Path (1932), Green Grows the City: the story of a London garden (1939), Garden Open Today (1963), Garden Open Tomorrow (1968), Rhapsody in Green: the garden wit and wisdom of Beverley Nichols (selected passages from his best titles, ed. Roy C. Dicks). Copies of books are available at the Circulation Desk.
