Edmonds police Tuesday said they are still seeking a light-colored Honda sedan, partial license plate of AOE123, who struck an 88-year-old Bothell woman as she attempted to cross Highway 99 at 228th Street Southwest early Monday evening.

The crash sent the victim to Harborview Medical Center with head and ankle injuries; she is now stable condition, said Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley.

The location where the woman was struck at 5:38 p.m. Monday is where the city is building a new intersection that will cross Highway 99 at 228th Street Southwest.

The suspect vehicle, driven by a woman, fled the scene northbound. The vehicle will have damage to the front driver’s side.
