Lace up those running shoes for the 2nd annual Edmonds Waterfront Festival 5K Run sponsored by 1st Security Bank. The event takes place Saturday, June 4 with registration starting at 8 a.m. and a 9 a.m. start time. The fun run starts at Civic Field in Edmonds (250 6th Ave. N.) and makes a loop around the charming streets of Edmonds with beautiful views of the Puget Sound.

Registration is available now, online at www.edmondswaterfrontfestival.org. The fee is $25 for runners who register before May 25 and includes a T-shirt. After May 25 registration is $35. There is a separate Kid’s Dash with registration fees of $10 and $15 respectively.

Hosted by the Edmonds Noon Rotary, proceeds from the fun will benefit Washington Kids in Transition. a volunteer organization committed to providing basic needs to homeless children residing in Washington state.

After the run, participants and spectators can visit the 29th Annual Edmonds Waterfront Festival at the Port of Edmonds Marina. Attractions include the POWER 93.5 FM and The Point Casino Main Stage with a great line-up of the best local dance bands, more than 15 food vendors, arts and crafts booths, a kid’s arcade, a classic boat display and hydroplane displays. Be sure to catch Ocean Presentations, Sea Jazz Music at the Pier, and the Yacht Display sponsored by Pacific Northwest Classic Yacht.
