Jerry Lial, Sr. sits in the back of his 1941 Buick. He got the car in 1994. “It took about a year to decide what I wanted to do with it,” he said. “And then a little money here, a little money there.” The rear seat is original, but the front seats are from a Cadillac. It’s got a 350 Chevy engine, and Camaro 4-speed transmission. “I wanted it to be MY car,” he added.

Owner Don Ross poses with his 1964 Amphicar, which travels by land or sea. He once rode it on the Montlake Cut when the waves were especially choppy. The car was bouncing “like a submarine. Had a friend with me, and he says, ‘I don’t want to do that again!’”
