Happening nearby: Tickets on sale Friday for ‘Glee’ star Derik Nelson’s Sept. 27 performance

“Glee’s” Derik Nelson will perform at Mountlake Terrace High School Sept. 27.

Singer, songwriter and producer Derik Nelson, seen every week as the guitarist on the FOX television show “Glee,” will be at the Mountlake Terrace High School Performing Arts Theatre at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27. Nelson is appearing at select high schools across the country in his Take Chances Tour, where the proceeds will directly benefit and help those drama departments raise funds for critically needed equipment and other supplies directly linked to their upcoming projects.

Nelson’s singing voice has been heard on FOX’s “Raising Hope” and “New Girl,” CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother,” NBC’s “Go On” and “The Voice,” and his original music has been featured on the WB hit TV series “Felicity,” as well as the feature film “Commencement.”

Ticket sales open to the public on Friday, Sept. 20, with advance purchase availability at Red Onion Burgers in Mountlake Terrace (located at 21005 44th Ave. W. ,Suite 101), with pricing levels, select dates and times for purchasing listed below:

Ticket Prices: GOLD $25 – SILVER $20 – BLUE $18 — $25 for front seating (limited space). $20 for front section seats only. $18 for upper/back section (all seats in the theatre are pretty great, so this is a great deal). There are a limited number of after-show VIP Meet and Greet passes for $5 with the purchase of a ticket (while they last).

Tickets can be purchased at the door the evening of the concert (while they last). Ticket windows open @ 6:15 p.m. on Sept, 27 at the MTHS Performing Arts Center. Performance at 7 p.m. at the school, 21801 44th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace.
