Health District receives nearly 800 responses to vaping in public issue

Snohomish-Health-District-logo1Following a public comment period that drew responses via online survey, email, letters and an in-person listening session, the Snohomish Health District’s Vaping Subcommittee will be meeting to discuss feedback and potential policy options.

The subcommittee meeting will be held from 2 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19 in the Snohomish Health District’s Auditorium at 3020 Rucker Ave., Everett. The meeting is open to the public, but no comment will be taken at this meeting.

“The subcommittee has been committed to reviewing current research findings, policy options implemented across the country and engaging the community for feedback,” said Dr. Gary Goldbaum, health officer and director of the Snohomish Health District. “At the August meeting, the committee will discuss what the recommendation will be for the full Board of Health at the September 8 meeting.”
