Holly House seeking storage space, volunteers for large holiday toy donation

Holly House, which provides holiday gifts to children in need each December, is receiving 18 pallets of toys next week from “a big toy company,” said Executive Director Pam Martinez, who added: “Our kids are going to have the best Christmas.”

However, the nonprofit needs storage space for the toys until Dec. 15, 2015. If you can help, contact Martinez by phone at 425-673-0526 or 425-435-1403 or email pjkringle@Comcast.net

Holly House began nine years ago when Martinez and her friends were volunteering at the Mountlake Terrace Food Bank. Holly House helped about 240 students that first year and now has grown to serving more than 2,000 students in the Edmonds School District.

Volunteers are also needed to help unload the toys once they arrive, Martinez noted. “We will only have 24 hours notice so I am looking for volunteers who are very flexible,” she said.
