HomeStreet Bank collecting food for Northwest Harvest

HomeStreet Bank and participating member of the Washington Bankers Association (WBA), announced that it will join 90 other banks in Western Washington to collect non-perishable food and cash donations for Northwest Harvest between March 18 and April 5.

The campaign is part of Bankers Care – Lending A Hand In Our Community, a new outreach program sponsored by the Washington Bankers Association (WBA). As a WBA member institution, HomeStreet Bank is participating in the Bankers Care program, which focuses on the many ways bankers can help meet the vital needs of people across the state.

“Hunger affects thousands of adults, children and families in the communities where we live and work,” said HomeStreet CEO Mark Mason. “Our branch employees are deeply involved in their communities, and they are completely on board and excited about this chance to be part of such a large initiative with the potential for such great impact.”

During the three-week Spring Food Drive campaign, HomeStreet’s 25 Western Washington branches and lending centers will accept donations in Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Seattle (Ballard, Fremont, Downtown, Lake Union, Queen Anne, Northgate and Wedgwood), Bellevue, Federal Way, Kent, Lakewood, Marysville, Newcastle, Olympia, Southcenter and Tacoma.

Contributions collected at each neighborhood branch will directly support that community. HomeStreet customers and members of each local community are encouraged to participate. Cash donations are also accepted and can be made at branches or directly online at www.bankersinwacare.com.

Additional efforts to raise public awareness are being provided through a campaign partnership between the WBA and Fisher Broadcasting. To learn more about Bankers Care and the 2013 Spring Food Drive visit www.bankersinwacare.com.
