A big garage sale and bake sale will be held today to raise money for Amy’s Army, a team that will be walking in the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk.
Some of the items include clothing for all ages, electronics, books, bedding sets, craft supplies, furniture and much more.
100% of the proceeds will go toward Amy’s Army. The team is walking in honor of Amy Carter Misiuk, who died in June 2009 at age 34 from undiagnosed breast cancer. She passed away less than 24 hours after going to the hospital for severe back pain. The team’s mission is to spread the word about proper monitoring, follow up and treatment.
