Husky football player arrested near Martha Lake

A University of Washington football player was arrested early this morning near Martha Lake after allegedly running from police.

Johri Fogerson was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of resisting arrest and marijuana possession. It happened after the State Patrol stopped a car for a burned out headlight on 164th St.

“The trooper saw a baggie of marijuana in the glove box when it was opened. The marijuana was given to the trooper. The driver stepped out of the car and was advised he was being placed under arrest,” Trooper Keith Leary told us.

Leary said the driver fled on foot, but then turned himself in at 3:20 a.m.

According to GoHuskies.com, Fogerson is from Kent and attended O’Dea High School.
