Iron Chef: Snohomish County edition

Iron Chef is coming to Edmonds Community College — sort of.

The Edmonds School District’s annual Iron Chef competition will be held in the College Cafe tomorrow, featuring the winners from four high school competitions.

Students will use the cutting-edge, restaurant-style kitchen, and all participants are required to have taken at least one semester of chef school to participate.  Each student chef will prepare an appetizer, soup or salad, and a main dish with a starch or a sauce.

Student participants and their assistants, respectively, are: Katy King and Alicia Long from Edmonds-Woodway High, Brittany Craig and Savannah Moore from Lynnwood High, Nathan Miller from Meadowdale High, and Melvin Banuelos and Craig Jones from Mountlake Terrace High.

The competition will take place tomorrow (Thursday, May 6) from 4 – 6 p.m. in the College Cafe. Everyone is welcome to attend.
