Lynnwood girls basketball coach Everett Edwards is coming off what one of his most memorable seasons ever. Edwards helped lead the Royals to a third-place finish at the Class 4A state tournament.
Two of Lynnwood’s best players happened to be daughters Jasmin and Jordyn Edwards. Jasmin is headed to Central Washington, while Jordyn will return for her junior season.
But what does Everett Edwards do when he’s not pacing the sidelines?
1. What is your job title and what do you do?
I am a detective with the Seattle Police Departments Pawn/Property Recovery Unit. I assist with identifying/arresting suspects involved with theft/burglary and I assist individuals with recovering their stolen property when they are the victim of crimes.
2. How long have you been working in this occupation?
I have been a Seattle Police officer/detective for the past 21 years.
3. What is the best part of your job?
Being able to return stolen merchandise to the proper owner.
4. If you could use three words to describe your job, what would they be?
Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork.
5. What are the qualities needed to be successful in your job?
Being a good communicator and having the ability to document your actions.
