It’s been abandoned since closing early this year. Now, Kaddyshack Golf Center on 204th Street SW is about to be demolished.
The city recently issued a “determination of non-significance” for the proposal to clear the building and driving range. The next step is for the developer to submit an application for demolition, which has not yet happened.
The future Zumiez corporate headquarters is planned for the property. It will be built in two phases. The first will be a 63,000-square-foot two-story office building. An additional 37,500-square-feet will be added in the second phase.
Other proposed improvements include a nature trail, landscaping and 300 parking stalls. There are also existing wetlands on the site which would be enhanced.
Zumiez, which is currently headquartered in Everett, bought the land for $3.3 million. Its 135 employees are expected to move in next spring.
