Kindergarten registration is under way for the Edmonds School District.

Children age 5 by Aug. 31, 2013, are eligible to begin kindergarten in September. Registration continues through June 28 and then again in August at all schools. Registering by March 8 ensures you will be entered into the lottery for the full time program at your school.

Parents need to bring the following documents in person: certified birth certificate; vaccinations and immunization record; proof of residency (utility bill, lease or mortgage). Please start the process even if you do not have the birth certificate or immunization record.

There are two program options:

Part-time kindergarten: five days a week, morning or afternoon session; There is no charge for parents.

Full-time kindergarten: five days a week, full school day. Tuition for 2013-14 will be $3,680. Tuition waivers may also be available to qualifying family as funding permits.
