Firefighters to host neighborhood Christmas party

Firefighters at Fire District 1 are inviting families to attend the 18th annual holiday party at Lake Serene Fire Station 23 on Saturday, Dec. 3.

This neighborhood tradition begins at 10 a.m. at the fire station at 4323 Serene Way.

Santa Claus will be making a special appearance with a little help from the firefighters. At the door, firefighters will be collecting canned goods and other nonperishable food items to donate to local food banks and families in need this holiday season.

Space is limited. To attend, RSVP to 425-551-1243 by Dec. 2 and prior to the party deliver to the fire station a wrapped gift ($10 value or less) labeled with first and last name for each child attending the party. Santa Claus will hand out the gifts to each child during the party. The Lake Serene Fire Station crews are in service around the clock and may not be at the station if they are responding to emergency calls. If necessary, parents can turn in gifts as they arrive at the party.
