The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish presents a program on creating outdoor living spaces at 7 p.m., April 4 at the Lynnwood Library.

Discover how professionals design exterior living spaces similar to that of interior rooms creating a cohesive look inside and out. Elements including function, lighting & heating, furniture, color, and design style will be featured with an array of examples to show you how to create warmth & ambience in your own backyard. You’ll gain lots of tips and tricks to create outdoor living spaces that you and your family can spend enjoying throughout the summer months.

Learn how to design an outdoor living space from small patios to very large areas. Also understand how to incorporate fireplaces, fire pits, water features and lighting and other features. Find out the seven simple steps to create a well-designed outdoor space. Learn a lot of designer tips and tricks.

Master Builders Association member Wendy Albee, founder of Albee Interior Design, is the presenter. She is celebrating her 10th year in business. An award-winning designer, Albee offers an array of design services, including space planning, remodeling, color consultation and entire home or room-by-room transformations for both residential and commercial clients. She is a member of the Remodeler’s Council, Professional Women in Building Council (including being a past co-chair), the National Kitchen & Bath Association and is a Certified Green Professional. She has presented seminars at the Seattle Home Shows and at various venues throughout the Seattle area. She has also taught classes at North Seattle Community College.
