The demolition of the old Lynnwood High School Commons building started today. That’s the building most visible from 184th Street SW near the track and softball fields.
Most of the demolition will take place this weekend, although the southwestern-most corner of the building will be torn down on Monday. After that’s done there will be just one building left on the site. That building housed the school’s main entrance, office, library and classrooms.
The Edmonds School District plans to lease the land for commercial use.
